Harborside East - Charleston Wedding Venues I Love

2019 feels like an eternity ago, doesn’t it?

Well it especially does when you’re reading this in 2022…lol.

These last five months have really flown by, and it’s put me in a reminiscing mood. And because of that, today’s post is the beginning of a long series of highlighting the amazing weddings, engagements, proposals, and everything in between from last year in Asheville, NC and surrounding areas. While I might be based in Asheville, NC, that doesn’t mean I don’t travel as a wedding photographer. But anyways, we begin with, none other than, my first wedding of the year, and at a gorgeous Charleston wedding venue on the water! Shanay and Stefan, in beautiful Charleston, South Carolina, at Harborside East, June 2019. Roll the film!

Shanay and Stefan have been good friends of mine from when we all lived in Pennsylvania and worked at Penn State University. But in 2018, Shanay and Stefan moved down to Charleston, and I followed later on with my relocation to Asheville. When they asked me to capture their wedding I was THRILLED and could hardly contain my excitement for what became one of my favorite sessions of the year.

Harborside East was the perfect venue to give us tons of variety. From the Arthur Ravenel Jr Bridge in the background, to the warm natural beach vibes just steps from the venue, to the sophisticated decor inside. It was a full day of love, and friends, and family getting together to celebrate an amazing couple. Check out a highlight of the festivities!
