Hey there! Welcome! I’m Nick: an Asheville photographer and lover of the great outdoors, home-cooked meals, hot summer days, and going on adventures. I’m weird (aren’t we all?), but I’m unapologetically myself, and I am obsessed with my job and this life I am so blessed to live.


Even more importantly, I love to have fun. Stick with me, and I promise we’ll have a great time taking photos together. Over the years, I've transformed groups of reluctant self-proclaimed “unphotogenic” strangers, into spotlight-seeking best friends. I’m a hugger, too (especially after an emotion-filled wedding or a phenomenal sunset engagement session) so be prepared! I’m also a goof, so you better believe there will be plenty of laughing and joking around. If your cheeks don’t hurt from smiling and laughing when we’re together, then I owe you a beer (or wine, let’s be real, wine is better). I’ve got lots of great stories to share, and can’t wait to hear some of yours! 


I’m a photographer for the simple reason of giving. I’m a giver in all aspects of my life. I give my time and my attention, I give my love and appreciation, and I give 100% of my effort to each and every client, no matter what. This is who I am, so if you’re not accustomed to having strangers care so much about you, your partner, or anyone else who means the world to you, then you’ve been warned! I kill with kindness <3

The first time I accepted payment for a photoshoot, they paid me the equivalent of 2 Chipotle burritos. I was pretty sure I peaked in my professional career that day. 

When I moved to Asheville 4 years ago I thought people were going to say “y’all” a lot more. Turns out they don’t, but ironically I sure do. Now I say it compulsively...

I’ve been to 3 yoga & meditation retreats in my life, one of which was a 5-day silent retreat. Call me crazy, but I highly suggest doing this at least once in your life. It was literally a vacation for my brain.

I’ve been vegan for 6 years now. It was the best decision I ever made, and if you’ve been veg-curious, I’m always down to chat!

I love my family more than anything in the world. They’re still in Pennsylvania, where I moved from, and I try to visit as often as I can.

My girlfriend, Lisa, and I love to spend our time trying new restaurants, going for walks around the neighborhood, doing yoga, watching all sorts of shows and movies, and entertaining our cats (really they mostly entertain us with their bad cat behavior)

I’ve traveled to 11 countries so far, most recently Israel, Spain, Portugal, and Taiwan. I try to hit at least one a year. Next on the list are Turkey, Ireland, and Italy, but I’ll go anywhere to capture your special day.

As much as I love adventure, I'm also an extreme homebody. I love spending time cooking, reading and watching documentaries, which is exactly what I do all winter. I can’t handle the cold, even in NC.

Photography is my life, but music is also my life. I basically have two lives (no wonder I’m so busy…) I am a true music fanatic. I am the guy who will listen to that song you post on your Instagram story that you think no one will listen to.

I love talking to strangers. Some of my favorite travel & life stories involve talking to strangers. Also all my couples start as strangers to me, but become some of my favorite people on this planet.

I support ALL love. Love is love, it’s as simple as that.

I am convinced I will never learn to measure the perfect amount of pasta to cook for one person. I either make enough for a hamster or a small horse, no inbetween.

An online quiz told me my spirit animal is a Butterfly, but I mostly identify with an otter (the resemblance is uncanny)

My Myers Briggs result is ENFJ, and I think I’m an Enneagram Type 9w8.

I am all about living every day to its fullest (or as the kids used to say, YOLO). When I’m not working, I’m supporting my community and the people I love. You’ll see me post from time to time about local small businesses I just can’t get enough of, and the friends I adventure with and who most all have their own businesses I get to support. I also love to explore all the great outdoors around Asheville. When I’m not traveling for work or finding the best secret locations for epic engagement sessions, I’m traveling for fun! I always love chatting about different countries we’ve been to. Every day I feel more and more blessed to be living the life that I am, doing what I love, and meeting amazing people all along the way.

I live my daily life in the same way that I live as a photographer. Why? Because being a photographer is such a huge part of my life. It’s who I am and who I always will be. I am incredibly proud of what I do as a wedding photographer and I hope it shows through my work, my reviews and my life.

So let’s do this! Let’s go on an adventure together! No distance is too far or too epic for your love story. I can hardly wait.
